Completed 15 holes through a 2X4 using a 1-1/2″ self feed bit. Compared to 16 with the DeWalt and 31 with the Hilti. The DeWalt felt more powerful than the Makita but underpowered compared to the Hilti. It drilled the holes a bit slower than the Hilti and the DeWalt. The Battery takes 15 minutes to charge (same as the Hilti) compared to 30 minutes for the DeWalt. The Makita felt much weaker and less torque’y than the Hilti and DeWalt. Another thing that I noticed was the fact that it had no motor burnout protection when it locks up it starts to smoke. Not good.
